The Agenda:
Our meeting was a constructive exchange of ideas and a shared commitment to improving educational opportunities for underprivileged youth. Here's a glimpse of what we discussed:
1. Program Commencement: We are excited to announce that Project Yantrikta is gearing up to launch its program in the Seegehalli district. The start date is set for the first week of September, and we can't wait to witness the impact this initiative will have on the young minds of the district.
2. Support from Mr. Sampath's NGO: During our meeting, we discussed the possibility of receiving support from Mr. Sampath's NGO. One potential form of assistance is providing certificates for all the participating students, acknowledging their commitment and achievement in the program. Additionally, we touched on the prospect of obtaining smaller-scale resources that would be invaluable in our educational endeavors.
3. The Curriculum: Our curriculum consists of a comprehensive first module comprising nine sessions. These sessions will be conducted on a weekly basis to ensure students receive a well-rounded understanding of robotics and STEM. By engaging in hands-on activities, students will develop essential skills, from problem-solving to critical thinking.
4. Timings and Target Audience: To make this program accessible to as many students as possible, we are planning to hold sessions on Saturdays. This decision was made with the school's convenience in mind, and we are in the process of coordinating timings with the school contacts. Our target audience for this module is students in Grades 5, 6, and 7.
5. School Selection: One of the key points of discussion was identifying which three government schools would be interested in hosting our program. Mr. Sampath has graciously agreed to assist us in this regard, and we eagerly await the decision. This collaboration holds the potential to bring about meaningful change in the educational landscape of the district.
6. Potential Media Coverage: While our primary focus is on delivering quality education, the prospect of media coverage was also discussed. We recognize the importance of sharing our journey and its impact with a broader audience. This will be something we revisit at a later stage when the program is in full swing.
